I believe that we can create a better world together, a better country, and a better state of Florida. But I know that government only plays one role in this process. The rest is up to each and every one of us. We must each take responsibility for our roles in our communities, being good neighbors, teaching our children the values that we hold dear, and keeping government honest.

 

If we as a legislature are going to invest in the welfare of our citizens, let’s invest in helping people to build their dreams and their future, not in more entitlement programs that force our citizens into more and more dependence on government handouts.

 

Let’s invest in bringing new and better jobs to Florida, by attracting the industries of the future to make Florida their home. Let’s invest in a real world-class education for our children and for adults re-entering the workforce or changing careers. Let’s invest in making it easier for small businesses to get off the ground and stay afloat in these turbulent times. These are investments in the future of Florida, and some of my greatest priorities in the House.
